Sheriff Mick Epperly announced today that a plot to allegedly rob Uncle Roy’s convenience store was uncovered by Barry County Detective Angela Cole. Detective Cole along with a member of the Southwest Missouri Drug Task Force received information from confidential informants that a plot to rob the Uncle Roy’s Convenience store in Eagle Rock, Mo was allegedly being planned by the Eagle Rock Postmaster. Barry County Sheriff Mick Epperly along with Detective Angela Cole, Federal Bureau of Investigation Officers and the United States Postal Service Inspectors arrested 48 year old Eagle Rock Postmaster Mike Stubblefield early Friday morning prior to his arrival at the post office for conspiracy to rob or burglarize a convenience store. According to Sheriff Epperly, when Detective Cole realized that the information she was being given was credible, Federal authorities were contacted at that point due to a postmaster being involved.
