Domestic in Progress call leads to assault on officers

 

 

 

According to Sheriff Mick Epperly, Officers responded to a call of a domestic in progress at FR 1057 in ExeterMoon Saturday the 7th at around 11:28 am.  When Deputy Myers arrived on scene, he observed a male subject walking down the railroad tracks, the subject had a large hunting knife in his hand, and Officer Myers also observed the subject hold the knife to his throat.  Officer Myers exited his patrol car and gave verbal commands for the subject to put the knife down.  Officer Adcock and Trooper Hilburn arrived to assist.  At this time, the subject fled back toward the residence carrying the knife, he dropped the knife prior to arriving back at the residence, the subject was very combatative and was resisting arrest, it took all three officers on scene to get the subject under control.  Officer’s transported 22 year old Dusty Lee Jordan to the Barry County Jail where he currently had a probation violation warrant and charges are currently pending for assault on a law enforcement officer.
