Subject flees on foot after abandoning stolen vehicle

Cassville School goes on lockdown while officers search

for subject who fled from stolen vehicle

 

 

 

On 5/3/2012 Cassville Officer John Cherney attempted to stop a black single cab chevy Silverado pickup which was believed to be stolen out of the City of Monett.  Officer Cherney terminated the pursuit, but city and county officers continued to search for the vehicle.  Detective Brian Landreth with the Barry County Sheriff’s office located the vehicle on 14th street in the parking lot by the Cassville Intermediate School.  Officer Landreth notified dispatch that he had located the vehicle and the subject was now on foot.  At this time, theCassvilleSchool went on lockdown as city and county officers searched for the subject.  Cassville Police located the subject 42 year old Roy Allen

McClenan of Aurora at the park behind the intermediate school.  McClenan was arrested and taken to the Barry County Jail where he is currently being held on a 75,000 cash or surety bond for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree.
