Search Warrant leads to 5 arrests

Fight leads to Officers executing a Search Warrant on a Residence in Cassville

 

 

 

On June 30, 2012, Deputy Terry Burgess responded to a call at 17274 State Highway76 in reference to 4 male subjects fighting.  Dispatch also advised that one of the subjects may have a stab wound.  Upon arrival, Officers located five subjects at the residence.  Upon clearing the residence, Officer Terry Burgess observed a  plastic tubing with electrical tape wrapped on one end lying in plain sight.  After clearing the residence, one of the subjects, 35 year old Travis Jones tried to run from officers because he had an outstanding felony warrant.  Officers asked for permission to search the residence and was told no.  At this point, Officer Burgess contacted Sheriff Mick Epperly and the  Southwest Missouri Drug Task Force and a search warrant was obtained to search the residence at 17274 State Highway76 and a detached garage behind the residence that had its own address of 17271 State Highway76 that was being rented by 20 year old Tyler Ferara.  All five subjects were arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold pending the results of the search warrant.  Upon execution of the search warrant by Mick Epperly and Officers with the Barry County Sheriff’s Office and the Southwest Missouri Drug Task Force officers discovered in and around the house,  Lithium Batteries, hypodermic syringes, marijuana pipes, a green leafy substance in small bags believed to be marijuana, three metal spoons with a white powdery residue, a small bag of white crystals, scales.  In the West Bedroom occupied by Tyler Ferara officers found currency, scales, small bag of white powdery substance, several bags with a green leafy substance, a cardboard box containing approx 97 grams of a green leafy substance, plastic bag containing purple and blue pills believed to be ecstasy, plastic bag with green pills, and a ledger book.  The five subjects arrested were all charged as follows:  20 year old Tyler Ferara of Cassville Mo was charged with Drugs-Marijuana Distribute/Sell bond set at $75,000,  35 year old Travis Jones of Cassville Mo was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Resisting Arrest with bond set at $25,000 he also had two failure to appear warrants out of Cassville for Disorderly Conduct and Vicious Animal, 32 year old David Mitchell of Monett, Mo was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with bond set at $25,000, 22 year old Brianna Bettencourt of Cassville, MO was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with bond set at $10,000 she also had a warrant out of Washburn for failure to appear on driving without a license, 28 year old Andrea Jones of Cassville Mo was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with bond set at $4,900.  At this time Travis Jones and David Mitchell are still in the Barry County Jail, Andrea Jones, Brianna Bettencourt and Tyler Ferara have all bonded.
