Three Arrested in Eagle Rock for Drugs

 On 3/22/13 Sheriff Mick Epperly was contacted by a Detective with the Eureka Springs Police Department regarding a possible meth lab in Eagle Rock.  Eureka Springs Detective Hanlin was performing an investigation which led him to a residence in Eagle Rock.  Upon arrival, Detective Hanlin noticed a male and female subject in the garage area, when they saw the Detective they ran back into the house.  Detective Hanlin immediately notified the Barry County Sheriff’s Office of the two suspicious subjects.  Barry County Sheriff Mick Epperly and Drug Task Force Agent John Luckey arrived at the residence located at 29844 Farm Road 1190 in Eagle Rock.  Upon arrival Sheriff Epperly and Agent Luckey knocked on the door.  The subjects inside the residence did not respond.  Agent Luckey noticed an acid generator and a burn barrel with other components for a meth lab outside of the residence.  Agent Luckey obtained a search warrant for the residence based upon the findings outside of the residence.  Barry County Officers and Drug Task Force served the search warrant, which allowed them entry into the residence.  Officers located a male subject, 41 year old Jason Edmondson of Eureka Springs, AR and a female subject,  28 year old Brittney Collett of Eagle Rock lying on a bed in one of the bedrooms.  The owner of the residence, 59 year old Richard Decker was not at home at the time the search warrant was served, but arrived later and was taken into custody along with the other two subjects.  During a search of the residence, Agent Luckey located numerous drug items in the home and two methamphetamine acid generators associated with methamphetamine production.    Numerous syringes and burnt spoons that field tested positive for meth was also found.  All three subjects were transported to the Barry County Jail and have been charged with Conspiracy to Distribute/Manufacture.  Decker’s bond has been set at 75,000 cash only, Edmondson’s bond has been set at 50,000 cash only and Collett’s bond has been set at 25,000 cash only.
