Busy Fourth of July for Barry County Officers

Busy Fourth of July for Barry County Officers

Sheriff Mick Epperly and his Officers responded to 39 calls on July 3 and 44 calls on July 4th.  Not only was it hot, but Barry County officers responded to 5 fireworks complaints, 7 domestic disturbances and provided traffic control for the fireworks at Shell Knob and Eagle Rock.  According to Sheriff Epperly, some of his officers participated in the DWI Campaign July 3 – 5, which resulted in tickets being written for speeding, no insurance, and no valid driver’s license.  Sheriff Mick Epperly stated that he works with his Officers every fourth of July to provide a law enforcement presence for the big crowds that gather for the fireworks and to make sure everyone has a safe July Fourth.
